Moon and Magic is the creative brainchild of Luna Staple and Genie Goldsack-Rowland. We began many years ago creating kitsch designs from recycled materials and exploring our ideas through tote bags, aprons and the odd costume. Over the years we adopted Taz Kingston and developed a firm design ethos, focusing on sustainability with underlying themes of myth and fantasy.

Since discovering Steampunk in 2010 Moon and Magic has become one of the few creators of Steampunk in Bristol. A revelation which enhanced our passion for up-cycling and posted us firmly in the things that never were. Everything is made and inspired by the abandoned treasures of our throw-away culture.

The majority of my designs are handmade from fabric, including house décor, toys, hanging mobiles and accessories. I like to experiment with current popular household items such as my twist on the fabric doorstop; in sumo form! And a most unexpected bunting design; washing line bunting! Also due for launch in March are my art prints involving quirky characters and confused zombies!

Every art piece is created with passion and good quality materials and as it is all handmade, each item is unique!  Expect many a strange and wonderful item!"

The Altered Bookshop is all about creating beautiful new objects out of old or unloved books. Often playing with the original theme of the book, Sophie makes one-of-a-kind treasures, such as secret boxes, bracelets, mirrors and magnets. She also has a selection of weird and wonderful greetings cards made using illustrations from vintage books. Commissions are always welcome. Email:[email protected]

My work combines a design aesthetic with craft making skills - mainly in porcelain and bone china, I often combine them with other materials; knitted textiles, laser cut steel, thermo-chromatic surface coatings. When studying ceramics I became interested in using repetitive processes to create objects that are unique; casting in moulds that can be re-configured to produce different forms from each cast, working with glazes that grow crystals when fired. I rely on chance to bring about a kind of coincidental beauty, creating subtle and elegant objects, from tableware to lighting, for everyday use.

I live in Bristol and have always had a passion for interiors & crafting. I opened my Etsy shop just over a year ago where I sell my pillows which are all made from vintage fabrics mainly dating from the 60s/70s and mixed with modern organic fabric. When I'm not making my pillows I have a coffee & crepe business which I take to music festivals.
